Gravel boards when used with close boarded fencing, are fixed to the posts before the featheredge boards are fixed to the rails. The board makes an even and level base for the featheredge and protect the boards from contact with the ground.
The 1.83m long 150mm x 22mm is the correct length to fit below a 6ft. wide fence panel.
Thicker gravel boards are used when a build up of soil on one side fence is likely and will put pressure on the bottom of the fence.

A delivery service is available at very reasonable rates and is charged based on your location. All products can be collected during opening hours free of charge from the Timber Yard at Weston Subedge.
All our timber products are carefully sourced from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) and the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified producers.
This means that we only utilise timber from managed forests where planting and renewal programmes are in operation, helping to protect and sustain our environment and air quality.
